The general information
The Republican Educational Complex Gymnasium-College attached to the Belarussian State Music Academy was founded in 1935 with the aim of training future professional musicians. The teaching is carried on the following specialities: piano, string, wind, percussion, folk instruments, choral conducting, musicology. The graduates of the college get diplomas on the secondary education.
The tuition term is 12 years.In addition to the first form the intake to the college is also caried out from the second to the tenth forms with the proper grounding in music of the applicants. Students from other towns are provided with the boarding school accomodation free of charge.
The preparatory department on the basis of self-repayment works for children of 5 and 6 years of age.
Consultations for applicants are given on every Saturday from February till the time of entrance examinations.
The entrance examinations are in May-June. Citizens of other countries are also admitted on the paying basis.
